1:00 PM – 2:15 PM EDT
Group mentoring has become increasingly popular as the model’s many benefits gain recognition. A group setting can foster teamwork and leadership skills, build strong peer connections, and minimize volunteer recruitment challenges. This webinar will focus on strategies that will help programs to emphasize the building of trusting, supportive relationships within the group mentoring setting. Along with discussing how to conduct mentee sharing exercises, presenters will talk about mentor-to-mentee ratios, curriculum development, the flow of activities, and how to train, monitor and support program participants. Attendees will leave this session with the knowledge of how to create a new group mentoring program, or strategies for improving an existing effort.
This webinar features:
- Tommy McClam, YouthBuild USA
- William Figueroa, Los Angeles Team Mentoring
- Jerry Sherk, California Mentoring Partnership consultant
